Early glaucoma often has no noticeable signs, earning it the nickname “the silent thief of sight”, but subtle clues can include blurry vision, seeing rainbow-coloured halos around lights, mild eye discomfort, and gradual loss of peripheral (side) vision.
More severe, sudden symptoms like intense pain, headache, redness, nausea, and vomiting signal an emergency (acute glaucoma), requiring immediate care.
