Durojaye asks Nigerians to cooperate with Buhari

Nigerians have been urged to cooperate with President Muhammadu Buhari, who has just been re-elected as the President of the country.

Bishop Joshua Oluwasola Durojaye of the Blood Jesus Calvary Church, Apata, Ibadan, made the appeal while congratulating the President for his victory.

Speaking on the success of the poll, the clergyman said contesting the victory in court or at the tribunal might not be necessary, pointing out that the victory could only be challenged if glaring fraud was detected just to put the records straight and let Nigerians know that “our electoral processes are truly independent.”

Congratulating Nigerians for the hitch-free polls, the cleric said Nigerians looked forward for President Buhari to pump money into the nation’s educational system in particular from primary to the university level.

“I am advocating good governance; governance that will breed confidence, love and unity that will not separate us from religion and tribes,” he said.

According to Bishop Durojaye, the policies Buhari has experimented for the past four years in office have shown that we recover looted money. But he regretted that the recovered money was not even in the hands of the people.

He urged the President to find a way to establish peace among the people and re-appraise his policies, saying, “we need peace country now.

Bishop Durojaye pleaded with all the aggrieved parties in the election not to take the law into their hands but to seek redress in the law court, if necessary.

Durajaye said winning the war against corruption was cardinal if we must develop and progress as a people and nation.

He also advised the government to give due and urgent attention to security of life and property, restructuring, diversification of the economic, agriculture, power, critical infrastructure, women and youth unemployment, provision of good health facilities and affordable housing during his second term as President in order to fully restore the confidence of the people in him.
