Nigeria is blessed with creative and innovative craftmen in the music industry and one section that has been doing the country proud the most is the Disc Jockey arm of the industry. One DJ that has been flying the flag of the country both within and outside the country is Charles Akinbobola, popularly known as DJ Charlie Shee.
The popular DJ, who was recently in Frankfurt in Germany, made the country proud during the Afro Fever event, where he performed alongside two Europe based DJs currently shutting the Nigeria airwaves down with two collaboration songs that are enjoying massive airplay both within and outside the country.
Charlie Shee, who is the head DJ of the Lagos State owned Eko FM is also a regular on Max FM, another leading radio station with listeners in Lagos and the FCT. His latest musical exploit ‘Amen’, a hip-hop collaboration with Bryan and Junior Boy is currently dominating airplay across the country. The new song, coming just a few weeks after the release of a previous song ‘Party Scatter’, an audacious fusion of Amanpiano and Afro brands of music, is another collaboration with the most sought after DJ Charlie Shee with another singer, Arred.
DJ Charlie Shee’s works show that he is a man who is not afraid of modifying trends, as seen with ‘Do Dem Bad’, a club banger and ‘Everybody’. His dexterity on the turntable was what attracted the P-Square duo, where he became the official of DJ of Rudeboy and later the official DJ of P-Square.
