Directors and members of the Ekiti Diaspora Business Network (EDBN) have applauded the Ekiti State Governor, Mr Abiodun Oyebanji, for appointing the duo of Ms Lolade Oke-Olutola and Barrister Adeola Adeleye-Fasuba into two different agencies of the state, describing the appointments as a perfect match for the governor’s progressive vision.
Ms. Oke-Olutola was appointed Director General of the Ekiti State Development and Investment Promotion Agency, while Adeleye-Fasuba was appointed Director General of Ekiti Diaspora Relations.
The Diaspora business group said this in a statement signed by its members, including Rachel Oke, Muyiwa Adesua, Adetokunbo Layokun, Ayokunle Agunbiade, Kolawole Fatimehin, Babatunde Ajisola, and Nike Bamisaye-Isalaye, among others, describing Oke-Olutola as a round peg in a round hole.
The group maintained that the new Director General of the state’s Development and Investment Promotion Agency had all it took to transform the state’s agency.
EDBN noted also that the newly appointed Barrister Adeleye-Fasuba would always bring her experiences to bear in driving the vision of the state, saying a humanitarian and strategic expert like her would help in connecting Ekiti people in the diaspora to the indigenes at home.
It, therefore, pledged its support for the governor in his desire to make Ekiti State the pride of the people, whether at home or in the diaspora.
“We thank our amiable Governor for this bold initiative. From the appointments, Governor Oyebanji has shown that he is determined to change the narrative of the state.
“Those appointed were a perfect match to the governor’s progressive vision for the state, and the EDBN will support the governor in his desire to make Ekiti state the pride of the people, whether at home or in the diaspora,” the EDBN said.
