The Director-General (DG), National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim, has commended some corps members’ effort at producing safety kits, during the outbreak of coronavirus disease in the country.
He gave the commendation while presenting letters to this effect, to some of the Corps Members at his office on Wednesday in Abuja.
The DG said the Corps members had sacrificed their time, money and skills as support to the fight against the spread of the deadly disease.
To this end, he urged them to sustain the legacy of hard work, integrity and never relent to add value to humanity wherever they find themselves.
He stated that their efforts have added value to the NYSC Scheme in no small measure.
“Be selfless in your post-service year responsibilities. Sustain the legacy of trust, hardwork and continue to add value to the society.”
“Many of you produced sanitisers, facemasks, pedal-operated water and sanitiser dispensers among other things. We appreciate you and we are very proud of you,” he said.
The Director-General also advised other Corps Members to use the NYSC Scheme as a veritable platform to showcase their potentials for both personal and societal development.
