A Dutse Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, sentenced Ojo Salihu, a 22-year-old ex-convict, to two years imprisonment for stealing church property.
The Presiding Officer, Mr Suleiman Mohammed, found the ex-convict guilty without any option of fine.
Mohammed noted that the ex-convict had earlier been warned against repeating any criminal act and that he would serve a more stringent sentence if he failed to adhere to the warning.
The mechanic, a resident of Kuduru village in Bwari, was convicted of a four-count-charge of criminal trespass, house-breaking, theft and continuous nuisance after injunction to discontinue.
He pleaded guilty.

Earlier, the Prosecutor, Mr Tunde Arowolo, told the court that the incident was reported at the Bwari Police Station by John Chijindu of behind NNPC Filling Station, Bwari, on Jan 25.
According to him, Salihu, between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. of the same date, broke into Full of Glory Gospel Church, Bwari, and dishonestly made away with property belonging to the church.
The prosecutor listed the items stolen by the ex-convict as four fans, one 3.5 KV generator, one amplifier and three sound speakers.
The prosecutor added that the convict was later arrested at Dei-Dei Police Barracks along Kubwa express road, on his way to sell the stolen items.
He said during investigation, it was discovered that Salihu had in the past committed similar offences, charged to court, convicted and was warned to be of good behaviour, but he refused to change.
Arowolo said that the acts, contravened Sections 348, 346, 287 and 199 of the Penal Code.
