Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on Tuesday called on Nigerians to always embrace peace and continue to extend love to one another in the spirit of Christmas.
Akeredolu who stated this in his Christmas message to the people of the state expressed the strong belief that there is nothing comparable to peace which is synonymous to development.
According to the governor, the deliberate desire to tolerate one another and share the love by extending their hands of love to one another can help to build a strong society.
He congratulated Christians across the country over the successful celebration of this year’s Christmas and commended Nigerians for their resolute to celebrate the Christmas in peace, appeals to them to remember to make moderation their watchword.
The Governor particularly congratulates the people of Ondo State for witnessing another Christmas season, urging them to imbibe the lessons preached by Jesus Christ, the reason for the Season.

He appreciated the people for their support for his government, while also promising that his administration will continue to deliver on its promises to take development to every part of the state.
“There is nothing comparable to peace and the deliberate desire to tolerate one another and people should continue to share the love and to extend their hands of love to one another.
Akeredolu urged the rich to share from the little they have with the poor, in the spirit of love.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, Hon Ade Adetimehin has assured that the welfare of party faithful and the people of the State would always be the crux of the party programmes.
Adetimehin who said there could not be a party without the people acknowledged members of the political parties as to the pillars of the party.
This was contained in his Christmas message to the party and the people of the state, describing 2019 as “a year of blessings” and appealed to all the APC members to be better inspired in 2020, while he wished them well in the coming year.
He urges the party adherents, particularly in the State, to pray ceaselessly for the unity and progress of the ruling party, adding that sustained victory for the party would imply further development in the state.
He rejoiced with party members, and indeed Christians all over the world, for another opportunity to celebrate the birth of “our dear Lord Jesus Christ”, advising believers to be guided by the gospel of Christ in their thoughts and conducts.
