FMI under its Pioneer President, Apostle (Mrs.) Yinka John who also held a three-day evangelistic miracle crusade in Osogbo with the theme “The Mighty Hand of God” ensured that no one left the Union Baptist Church, Odi-Olowo where the empowerment programme took place empty handed.
Addressing the beneficiaries, Apostle John whose base was in the United Kingdom (UK) explained that similar events had been held by her ministries at Ede in Osun State and Ogbomoso in Oyo State.
She stated that it was God who put it in her heart “to help widows and those in desperate needs so that they can be able to take care of themselves and their families.
“It has been a burden on me to help deprived people. Even though, we may not be able to fully satisfy all what you desire but at least we will put smiles in your faces with these little,” the woman evangelist told the beneficiaries.
She later presented five sewing machines, five grinding machines and cash gifts to selected widows from Osogbo and Olorunda Local Governments and food items to over 3,000 aged, widows and disabled people.
Some of the beneficiaries who broke down in tears were encouraged by her to make maximum use of what they received by ensuring that they use them judiciously and profitably.
