The charge was delivered members of the Old Students Association of the school during maiden edition of its “Pad Up A Girl Child” project.
The initiative which focuses on sensitising the girl-child was part of the efforts of the association members to give back to their alma mater.
During their visit to the school, they donated 684 pieces of sanitary pads to the students in JSS 3 and and JSS 2 classes.
Speaking during the event, PRO of the association, who also doubles as the project coordinator, Ms. Ekaette Ufot, sensitised the pupils on the benefit of health & hygiene, tasking them on how to take care of themselves during the monthly flow.
A practical illustration of how to use the pad was done by one of the junior class students, Miss Omolara.
Principal of the junior school, Mrs. Basirat Ganiyu, expressed her gratitude towards the project. She also led the alumni on a tour of classrooms and learning facilities at the school.
Members of the association further pledged to continue to support the alma mater in the best ways possible.
