Businessman donates shuttle buses to Ogwashi-Uku royal palace

The royal palace of Ogwashi-Uku kingdom in Delta State recently received four shuttle buses aimed at enhancing the security situation in the area.

The donation was made by the Managing Director of MIO Construction Company, Ambassador Ikechukwu Meshack Odide, an architect and native of Ogwashi-Uku.

The businessman, who has previously built a quarter for the divisional police officer in Ogwashi-Uku, said he was giving back to the society even as he urged other philanthropists and well-meaning Nigerians in and outside the kingdom to join hands with the traditional ruler of the kingdom, Obi Ifechukwude Anishi Okonjo II, in the rapid development of the town.

Odide commended the monarch for his contributions in the security, power and education sectors of the area.

Receiving the buses, Chief of Staff to the monarch, Prince Onyema Okonjo, commended Odide for the gesture, adding that the donor has truly proved to be a worthy son of Ogwashi-Uku.

“Odide basically does his business in Anambra State, he has shown reasonable commitment by extending his hands to do some projects in his community for humanity. This is highly commendable,” Onyema said.
