PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has joined family and friends in celebrating one of Nigeria’s foremost corporate lawyers and businessman, Papa Christopher Oladipo Ogunbanjo, as he turns 95 years.
According to a statement issued by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity) in Abuja on Friday, the President congratulated the nonagenarian for his contributions to the development of law practice in the country, particularly his interest in advocating domiciliary accounts in the banking system, which had since become one of the major drivers of the economy.
President Buhari commended Papa Ogunbanjo’s foresight and resourcefulness in always taking bold steps for knowledge and also encouraging younger people to pursue wisdom, knowledge and hard work as gateways to success, while also helping the less privileged with his resources.
