AT a time when the Nigerian project is faced with enormous challenges in all areas of human endeavours, Ademola Ajao’s book, The Master Key for Present and Future Challenges, presents ideas which those in positions of authority can tap into to set the country on the path of prosperity and growth.
The book, which has 10 chapters, deals with areas that are of utmost importance to the survival of the country and its people.
It starts with Alternative for Fossil Fuel, where the author highlights why it is necessary for Nigeria and other countries that still rely heavily on fossil fuel for economic survival to look at how to change their approach, especially with the aid of technology.
Ajao cites the growing popularity of electric vehicles in other parts of the world as one of the reasons fossil fuel will no longer be valuable in the nearest future.
He also discusses renewable energy and how it is safe to use compared to fossil fuel, which is burnt to produce energy, thus damaging the environment.
The second chapter, Total intolerance for corruption, focuses on the greatest challenge facing Nigeria and many other countries, especially in Africa – corruption.
Corruption has stifled the growth of many countries, and the author asserts that if countries truly want to achieve their potential, then there must be total intolerance for corruption.
The third chapter, Unfailing leadership, explores the core values of leadership and why leaders must be accountable to their followers.
This chapter also analyses how to accomplish unfailing leadership. This particular section of the book should be studied by those in positions of authority for them to be able to understand those things expected of them as leaders.
At a time when various ideas are being put forward on how to make the country work, Ajao’s template will definitely go a long way in bringing about a better Nigeria.
