As part of efforts to improve secondary Healthcare delivery services, Bauchi State Executive Council (SEC) on Wednesday approved the total rehabilitation of the its State Specialist Hospital.
The approval, according to the Health Commissioner, Dr Sani Mohammed Dambam was given during the SEC meeting chaired by the Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir.
The meeting also witnessed the taking of decisions relating to the growth and development of the State in line with the “My Bauchi State” agenda of the administration.

While briefing Journalists on the outcome of the SEC meeting at the Government House, the State Commissioner said that projects to be executed during the exercise include the purchase of new hospital equipment, renovating of structures including staff quarters among others to further attract more health workers to the State.
According to the Commissioner, other measures as directed by Governor Bala Mohammed is for the State Head of Civil service to review the salary structure of Doctors working in the State.
Also Speaking, the State Commissioner of Housing and Environment, Danlami Ahmad Kawule said that the council ratified the renovation of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Complex to create a conducive atmosphere for members of the State House of Assembly and that of the Bauchi State House of Assembly Commission.
Danlami Kawule said the project which will soon commence, demonstrates the commitment of the governor towards reinvigorating the central sectors of the economy.
In his submission, the State Commissioner of Information and Communication, Alhaji Usman Usman Shehu, said that the council deliberated on the digitalization of Bauchi State Television (BATV) and the Bauchi State Radio Corporation(BRC) since the equipments arrived.
He stated that another memo from the ministry of information and Communication is the Youth employment through cyber security in collaboration with the Canadian government, adding that the move is to ensure the continuous training and employment of more youths for sustainable growth and development.
