I must sincerely applaud you and President Muhammadu Buhari for the patriotism you exude in combating terrorism, corruption and unemployment in Nigeria. However, the prices of goods and services are skyrocketing, no thanks to economic recession.
I am particularly concerned about us, the recently shortlisted N-Power Teach, Agro and Health volunteers. Sir, it may interest you to know that many of us have ignored looking for employment elsewhere since we were shortlisted and told we would start work on December 1, 2016. Some of us have not been physically screened; many of us that have been physically screened have not been deployed or posted, and many of us have not been paid the December stipend. I think that all of us, most especially the N-Power Teach volunteers, should have been deployed and posted to our areas of primary assignment. That way, we would have started teaching on Monday, 9th January, whether we had been paid or not. But many of us have not been deployed and this troubles my mind. Please, these challenges I am putting across to you via this medium require your urgent and positive action.
Lest I forget, sir, during the physical verification/screening exercise, a few of us could not present our NYSC exemption certificates because the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has not sent the certificates to our schools for onward issuance to us. Please, I humbly beseech you and the President not to let this adversely affect our deployment and posting because, before June this year, we shall have been issued the certificates.
