Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has assured Nigerians that the candidate of People’s Democratic Party PDP in the forthcoming presidential election, Atiku Abubakar will improve the quality of lives of Nigerians if elected president.
He described Atiku as a friend of the masses who will always protect their interest while dismissing the present situation of the country which he described as a government of hunger and Insecurity.
The Governor stated this in Tureta Local Government, venue of the PDP campaign on Saturday, where he described the people of Tureta as hundred per cent PDP supporters.
While enumerating his achievements in the last four years, Governor Tambuwal promises to consolidate on the success recorded in the first term of his administration.
Meanwhile, one of the party leader in the state from Tureta Local Government, Alhaji Arzika Tureta as well as the Senator representing the zone, Senator Danbaba Danbuwa, has assured the Governor of the hundred per cent votes from Tureta Local Government.

Also speaking, former presidential aspirant under PDP, who was also the Governor of the state between 1999 and 2007, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, has assured the people of Tureta of continuing government presence under PDP Administration.
He urged politicians in the state to stop the habit of throwing money to the streets, saying the people of the state are not animals.
Other speakers at the campaign ground include Dr Datti Ahmed, a former PDP presidential aspirant, Alhaji Mukhtar Shagari, Eng. Bello Suleiman, Honourable Kakale among others.
