A chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, who is a political associate of the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, Alhaji Ishola Balogun-Fulani, has said that he is no longer in the same political platform with his boss.
Balogun-Fulani, who was the chairman of the dissolved All Progressives Congress (APC) executive in the state said he is the authentic chairman of the party in the state.
It is recalled that about two weeks ago, the Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin restrained Hon. Bashir Bolarinwa’s caretaker committee from parading itself as the executive in the state.
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin on Monday after a security meeting with security agencies ahead of Tuesday’s eid el Kabir celebrations, Balogun-Fulani said that, “Presently, I am in APC, no longer in the same political platform with Senator Bukola Saraki. I am an APC man and an authentic one for that matter.
“I am the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State. By law, I am still the chairman. I am recognised by law to be the chairman.

“Though my principal, Senate President Bukola Saraki, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), I am still in APC. Everybody has the right to belong to any political party of his choice. We are still in APC even though our principal has left.
“The Hon. Bashir Bolarinwa’s caretaker committee set up by the National Working Committee of APC has been challenged in court. The court has restrained him to be the chairman of the committee and that the NWC has no right to dissolve an elected executive in any state”.
