THE amir (president) of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at Nigeria, Alhaji Abdulazeez Alayote, has urged the Kwara State governor, Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, to embark on programmes that would add value to the lives of the people of the state and bring them comfort.
He made the plea when he paid a courtesy visit to the governor in Ilorin, last weekend.
Alhaji Alayote used the opportunity of the visit to invite the governor to the Ahmadiyya youth convention scheduled to take place in Offa.
In a remark, Governor Abdulrazaq, who noted that he attended Ahmadiyya School, Agege, Lagos, appreciated the visit of the amir and his entourage.
He expressed his satisfaction with the Ahmadiyya youths’ choice of Offa as the venue of their convention this year and promised to lend his support for the programme.
A highlight of the visit was the presentation of books published by the jama’at to the governor.
