The Zamfara State Coordinating Office of the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) has presented its progress report at the ongoing L-PRES Implementation Support Mission (ISM) in Yola, Adamawa State.

The Zamfara L-PRES Coordinating Office, led by State Project Coordinator Mohammed Nasiru, disclosed this on Friday evening.

The Zamfara delegation to the mission comprised the State Project Coordinator and key technical and administrative officers of the project in the state.

According to the coordinator, the mission was designed to review implementation progress, identify emerging challenges, strengthen coordination and ensure effective delivery of the Project Development Objective (PDO).

He said the discussions provided an opportunity for participating state coordinating offices to engage with the mission team on implementation experiences, achievements, challenges and priority actions needed to accelerate project activities.

At the session, the Zamfara State Project Coordinator presented the state’s implementation progress report, highlighting the coordinating office’s achievements.

The achievements included the construction and rehabilitation of livestock infrastructure, capacity-building programmes and training for project beneficiaries, input support for livestock farmers, statewide vaccination exercises and other technical assistance provided under the project.

The Zamfara team reaffirmed its commitment to effective implementation of L-PRES in the state, particularly in improving livestock productivity, strengthening resilience among livestock-dependent communities and promoting sustainable commercialisation.

In their responses, the Task Team Leader (TTL) and the National Project Coordinator (NPC) commended the Zamfara L-PRES team, particularly for the quality of infrastructure delivered through the project.
