Valentine’s Day is approaching, and we are just wondering if you have made any plans or not. In case procrastination is already creeping in and you need ideas to beat that, don’t beat yourself up; we’ve got you covered.

Contents
  • 1. A love note
  • 2. A photo frame
  • 3. A thoughtful book-related gift
  • 4. Give them an experience
  • 5. A video compilation
  • 6. A piece of jewellery
  • 7. Food

Life can get hectic, but you can still find thoughtful last-minute gift ideas without dropping the standards. Here are a few thoughtful gift ideas to save your face.

1. A love note

Handwritten letters or notes are perceived as old or archaic, but in the real sense, a heartfelt letter is unmatched. In this customised note, you can let them know how you feel about them, what you love about them, your favourite memory of them, and your future anticipations about them.

You can write these notes as a series of small cards, a heartfelt letter, or place them in a jar for them to read one at a time.

2. A photo frame

Nobody hates a photo frame of their favourite picture being gifted to them. You can either gift them a framed photo or surprise them with a photoshoot session and frame one of the best pictures. You can also choose a picture, or more, of you both and frame it.

While this could pass as a thoughtful last-minute gift idea, you can consider adding a note, a flower, or a small extra gift, to make it more special.

3. A thoughtful book-related gift

Do you plan to give a book lover a gift? Give them a collection of books that tickle their fancy, or get them a ticket to a book review or book reading event.

If you’re gifting them a book, you could write something nice on the first page – that will make them smile and feel seen whenever they pick it up.

4. Give them an experience

It could be traveling either by plane, their first train ride, a car ride, or a rigorous yet fun activity.

Another thoughtful last-minute gift idea is to take them to a restaurant, an art gallery, a live show, or a sculpting class.

5. A video compilation

A video compilation of your favourite memories together shows thoughtfulness and intentionality. The best part is that even though you procrastinated, you can contract someone to compile the clips you have at an affordable price, within a short while.

6. A piece of jewellery

A thoughtful last-minute gift idea you can’t go wrong with is giving them a piece of jewellery. Many stores sell beautiful, affordable jewellery that you can get on the same day – you procrastinated, remember? You can never go wrong with a bracelet, necklace, or couple’s accessory.

7. Food

Food brings people closer. You can either make their favourite dish together or bake a cake, or cookies, or prepare a drink from scratch. Also, who doesn’t love being gifted a meal, especially if cooking is a chore for them?

Other thoughtful gift items you can give them are customised journals, a bouquet, financial support, or a gift that helps them with a personal project.
