Kebbi govt releases N14.4m for return tickets of medical graduates from India

The Kebbi State government has released N14.4 million for return tickets for eight Kebbi State students who completed their medical studies in India.

The State Commissioner for Higher Education, Isa Abubakar Tunga, disclosed this to journalists during a press briefing on Wednesday.

He also revealed that Governor Nasiru Idris approved N117.2 million for 25 students studying at various universities in Egypt.

The Commissioner further stated that the governor had generously approved the release of N2.727 billion for both local and international students in universities worldwide.

“The Ministry of Higher Education remains grateful to Governor Nasiru Idris. Undoubtedly, his Excellency’s efforts towards promoting academic and moral excellence in tertiary education will remain indelible in history,” Tunga said.
