2027: Ogun APC launches e-membership register

As the 2027 general election draws near, the Ogun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has initiated a comprehensive digital overhaul of its membership register.

The State Chairman of the party, Chief Yemi Sanusi, disclosed this over the weekend at a two-day training programme for officials who will manage the statewide e-registration exercise.

He described the step as a “pivotal step” for the party, emphasising its strategic importance for future elections, while urging the administrators from the state to the senatorial and local government levels to demonstrate due diligence.

He informed them that their performance would be under the direct scrutiny of President Bola Tinubu, Governor Dapo Abiodun and himself, with a promise that exceptional hardwork would be rewarded.

“We are on a mission to count our votes before the election,” Sanusi stated, highlighting that a robust digital register is key to electoral success,” he said

The training was facilitated by Honourable Olusegun Bankole, who also serves as the administrator for Ogun Central Senatorial District.

He took supervisors from across the state’s twenty local government areas through the intricacies of the new online registration platform.

Speaking on the essence of the training, the State Administrator of the exercise, Mr Yemi Adelani, urged the officials to brace for the task ahead.

Adelani, who is also the party’s organising secretary, directed them to work closely with ward-level agents to mobilise members onto the portal.

He announced a performance-driven framework for the exercise, revealing that “targets will be set for all local governments and such must be met within record time.”

Prince Aderibigbe Tella, the State Secretary and Senatorial Admin for Ogun West, admonished all participants to strictly adhere to the official guidelines for a seamless and standardised registration process.

The initiative signals the party’s commitment to leveraging technology for member engagement and data-driven campaigning ahead of the next electoral cycle.
