Adebiyi said the party had been magnanimous to the senatorial district by zoning the governorship slot to it for equity and justice, has not produced a governor since the State creation in 1976.
He made this remarks during the official declaration of intent to contest for the governorship seat by Mr Biyi Otegbeye, a prominent son of Yewaland.
The APC chairman said the opportunity for the people of the senatorial district to produce the governor is now, insisting that the party’s position on zoning remains sacrosanct.
“I rejoice with Ogun West people because the governorship ticket of the APC has been zoned to their senatorial district. The APC executive will not waiver on this zoning policy because the party is supreme.
This zoning issue will be guided jealously.
“Ogun West people need to put their house in order. They must unite for them to achieve their desire so that the governorship ticket will not be slipped away from them, “he added.
He, however, assured aspirants from other zones of the party’s determination to produce a level playing ground for all.

Otegbeye submitted that his government, if voted into power, would continue from where Amosun government stopped work, saying “continuity is the bedrock of nation-building.
“I am not unmindful of the enormous challenge of moving our State to the next level in the coming years, but I am comforted with the strong fundamentals, and the culture of efficiency already entrenched in the governance of our state by our energetic leader, Governor Ibikunle Amosun.”
