The Sokoto State PDP youths today held a solidarity rally in support of governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal’s second term bid.
They outlined some of the reasons why the Governor should be given a second term, saying he needs to consolidate on his achievement in the first term.
Addressing the youths at the Government House Sokoto, the State Deputy Governor, Manir Dan iya who spoke on behalf of the Governor told them to mobilise and vote PDP candidates in the governorship and House of Assembly elections next coming Saturday.
He urged them to make sure they guard their votes after casting their ballots at the polling stations, while also enjoined them not to relent to ensure that their votes count for the success of PDP in the forthcoming elections.
He, however, lamented how the opposition party, APC, use security agencies to intimidate and harass PDP supporters during the last elections.
He further appealed to them to remain calm as PDP is working seriously to recover their stolen mandate even as he assured them that the PDP in the state will emerge victorious in the coming elections.
