Families of slain youths during last Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly polls have cried out for justice.
Jeffery Otevane, 25 and Michael Chubiuke, 30, were shot dead by gunmen at about 10:00a.m during the Presidential and National Assembly election in Okirighrwe, Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.
It will be recalled that some yet-to-be-identified assailants swooped on a polling Unit in Amukpe – Sapele, opening fire on the defenceless voters, killing the two boys in the process.
Members of the two bereaved families on Monday called on the Inspector General of Police and other law enforcement agencies in the state to unravel the faces behind the dastardly killings.
The families, led by Mr Victor Ogufere, a relation of Jeffery, spoke to journalists in Sapele.
‘’The murder of the two young men is not satisfactory to us (families).

“We want the law enforcement agencies to wade into the remote and immediate causes of the murder and bring the culprits to book,” Ogufere stated.
Earlier, in a press statement, the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Sapele, led by Dr David Oghenekevwe, has insisted that the murder of the men has political undertones.
He accused an APC chieftain in the area of being behind the murder and called on the police to wade in.
He also accused the police of telling lies in the media about the murder of the two men.
The statement reads in part, ‘’It should be noted that the police’s statement on TVC news platform ‘Nigeria Votes’ that the killers were unknown gunmen is a blatant lie.”
He, therefore, blamed the police of not making any arrest since the incident occurred.
Meanwhile, following the rising tension in the area, occasioned by the killings, men of the 19 Battalion of the Nigeria Army, Koko, have been on surveillance to forestall further breakdown of law and order in the area.
They warned those allegedly planning to burn down house of certain politicians in the area to desist forthwith.
