Youths charged to shun drug abuse, cybercrime, other vices

Concerned about the prevalence of vices, especially among youths in the country, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), RedMedia Africa, Mr Ayodeji Rasaq, has admonished youths to shun all forms of drug abuse, cybercrime, thuggery, cultism, and other related crimes.

Rasaq gave this charge after receiving the golden role model award of the Nigeria Youth Advocacy for Good Governance Initiative (NYAGGI).

He harped on the need for youths to make their contributions towards societal development through good behaviour and abiding by the laws of the land.

Presenting the award, the national coordinator of NYAGGI, Mr Alabi Akeem, said Rasaq was found worthy as one of the few young Nigerians who are walking encyclopaedias and the epitome of good character that youths should emulate.

Furthermore, Rasaq was described as a father, leader, role model, mentor, go-getter, bridge builder, philanthropist, and lover of truth.

The NYAGGI coordinator explained that the golden role model award was given because Razaq has distinguished himself in integrated marketing communication, digital marketing, youth empowerment, societal development, and nation-building.

Rasaq was also acknowledged for upholding the highest professional standards and for his immense contributions to the media industry.
