Of course, this was not the first time that Manchester City have won this title as they were the winners of the previous season, making them the first team since 2009 to have retained the title.

Any sport betting fans would argue that Manchester City have a strong chance of claiming that title once again due to their impressive squad and previous performance. How can you stop a team that is on a high after winning the previous two seasons? This team has gelled well and despite some changes to the line-up, they are set to perform very well over the 2019/20 season once it begins in the next few weeks.
While Liverpool FC showed a lot of promise in the last season, Manchester City were up there the entire time, waiting for the final to show their worth. Taking home the title was a fantastic achievement for this team, and it puts them in good stead as the new season starts.
The Squad
When considering the prospect of Manchester City winning the English Premier League title again, it is important to look at their squad for the season. Three goalkeepers have made the squad including Claudio Bravo, Ederson and Daniel Grimshaw. Some of the top names in defence include Kyle Walker, Eric Garcia and Aymeric Laporte. In midfield, we have David Silva, Riyad Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne despite his injury last season.
Of course, Manchester City also have massively talented forwards which include Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Agüero. This side also has one of the greatest managers of all-time leading them – Pep Guardiola. We expect Guardiola to make some changes and encourage his team to put on another excellent performance this season.

While Manchester City have a good chance of taking home that trophy for the third season in a row, there are some other teams standing in their way. We must consider Liverpool after their performance last year, Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea. These teams have strong odds and the competition hasn’t even begun yet.

It would be impossible to say who is going to win the English Premier League just yet as the matches haven’t even begun. Of course, looking at the fixtures and the performance of these teams in the previous season, we would suggest that Manchester City have a strong chance of clinching that title once again.
