Amidst housing deficiencies in Lagos State, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sotab Limited, Hon Adebowale Adesote has restated its commitment to building construction and the customer-based company strongly determined to provide affordable building materials and low-cost housing schemes using their expertise to create accessible and durable homes.
In a media parley with journalists in the company’s head office in Lagos, Adesote advised that hiring architects, structural engineers, building contractors, performing soil tests, using suitable foundation designs and complying with statutory building regulations will help reduce the collapse of buildings recently galvanizing the country.
He added, “In Nigeria, common law principles and practices govern and regulate contracts for designs and building works. In a design or construction contract, the fundamentals of common law agreements, parties, intentions and considerations must be in place. Many states in Nigeria has laws regulating contracts which are codified in common law principles of the land as by-laws.
“Also, designs and construction contracts usually contain terms that are standard and reflect the agreed construction process in standard uniform forms due to their unique nature and technicalities.”
Speaking about the company, Adesote said, “Sotab limited is a leading regional construction contractor with a portfolio that includes some of the Chinese and Asia most iconic and sophisticated construction masterpieces. It also does sales of construction automobiles, oil and gas and charity.
