The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Ahmed Wase, has commended the All Progressives Congres (APC), and its supporters for the peaceful conduct of the APC ward congresses.

The Deputy Speaker who was in Jos to monitor the exercise, praised the State Governor, Dr Simon Lalong for providing a conducive and peaceful atmosphere for the success of the ward congress.

The Deputy Speaker while addressing party supporters after the affirmation of the leaders of the new ward of Gangare ward, in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, emphasised the need for peaceful coexistence, saying there is no alternative to peace in the Plateau State.

“We thanked Almighty Allah for giving us a peace-loving governor. Today the entire state executive council are here in Gangare ward to monitor the ward congress.”

He charged the new Gangare Ward leaders in Jos to fear God in handling the affairs of the party saying, “my prayers is for those elected officials to always fear God in handling the affairs of the party.

“APC in Plateau State is intact, it is one and indivisible, just as we will continue to wax stronger by the day, I believe there is no alternative to APC in Plateau State.”

He acknowledged the laudable policies and programmes of governor Lalong’s administration, particularly in the areas of peace and unity in the state.

The Deputy Speaker further commended all the stakeholders who had exhibited exemplary commitment towards ensuring the success of the exercise.
