The Lagos campaign council National representative, National Diversity and inclusion Director and the Edo 2020 gubernatorial candidate of ADC, Mabel Oboh, have urged Nigerians to vote according to their conscience and not to fall victims of intimidation and vote buying come tomorrow March 18 2023 general elections.

Oboh who advised at a press briefing in Lagos said that the people’s choice must prevail. She added, that the choices the electorate makes in this coming election will either make or mar the country.

“It must be noted that Nigeria is over ripe for youths and women participation in governance.

ADC is the only party in Nigeria with 35% policies, for all-inclusive elective positions with priorities for women, youth and PWD and that is why ADC has the highest number of youths and female candidates.
Moreover, Now is the time to support our fellow women, youth, and people with disabilities. Voting for ADC will promote an equal, fair, and just Nigeria,” she said.

Oboh further alleged that not only has Nigeria been impoverished amid abundant resources but the country is in a state of confusion. Hence, we can only get back to normality if we come out en mass to cast our votes for the right party

“This is achievable, we should never give up our democratic rights. As much as people are not happy, democracy is a process in which we must all engage and see through until we get it right. It is our civic duty.

“Let’s put the enemies of progress to shame and use our powers correctly by voting for those that will represent us well. Vote for servants of the people and not modern slave masters.

“I am appealing to the electoral empire(INEC) to adhere to Electoral Act 2022, in transmitting voting results from polling unit. Any technical hitches previously encountered in the presidential election must be corrected before the governorship/State Assembly election on March 18, 2023. The commission must be seen to be above board for stakeholders to have faith in the electoral process.”

“Also, I would like to commend the youths for coming out in large numbers to exercise their civic responsibilities without fear,” Oboh said.

She also affirm that Nigeria and Nigerians must remain as one and must not be divided along ethnic, religious and sectional lines

“As the ADC Lagos Campaign council national representative, I am calling on all well-meaning Nigerians, men, youths and women who truly believe that Lagos state is in desperate need of good governance to come out en masse to vote for ADC gubernatorial candidate Funsho Doherty and all the other candidates of The African Democratic congress ADC come  March, 18.

“The onus is now on us to do the right thing, let’s not despair, be bold and vote ADC for a better greater Lagos and Nigeria. A new Nigeria is possible,” she concluded.
