US government through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has cancelled the parole status of over 900,000 migrants who were granted temporary entry into the United States using the CBP One App.
This decision affects individuals who had been authorized to remain in the country for up to two years under a humanitarian parole program. Parole status is typically granted due to urgent conditions in a migrant’s home country.

The CBP One App was a key feature of President Joe Biden’s immigration policy, designed to help manage and reduce the flow of migrants at the US-Mexico border. Migrants were able to request appointments and, in some cases, successfully receive parole approval through the app.
However, DHS has now informed migrants via email that their parole status has been revoked. The notifications instructed recipients to self-deport.
A senior DHS spokesperson stated, “The Biden administration abused the parole authority to allow millions of illegal aliens into the US, which further fueled the worst border crisis in US history.”
The revocation does not affect migrants who entered under Operation Allies Welcome or Uniting for Ukraine, according to the DHS.
