SECOND-term-bound Senator-elect, Ovie Omo-Agege has vowed that Urhobo all over the world will be proud of him at the ninth Senate.
The incumbent Delta Central Senatorial district senator made the promise shortly after he was declared the winner of the keenly contested Saturday National Assembly poll.
“My gratitude goes to the entire Urhobo electorate for the confidence reposed on me through the ballot by sending me back despite all of the conspiracies by those who are opposed to my aspiration.
“But I am glad that, notwithstanding, all of the dirty and negative campaign against me, the people saw through of that and graciously returned me for a second term.

“The only obligation I owe them right now is to give them (Delta Central) my very best.
“As usual, the Urhobo voice would be heard in the Senate and at the federal level in Abuja.
“Anyone can take this to the bank. Urhobo all over the world would be proud of me.
“For sure, I am going back as a ranking senator. I am not going to be a backbencher or bench warmer.
“We are going to be heard and decisions will not be taken without us.
“Urhobo people can rest assured that their interest would be protected at all times.
“Anything I have done in the Senate has always been based on its benefit to the Urhobo Nation and, this time around is not going to be any different,” he averred while fielding reaction from Warri Today.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had, last Monday, announced Omo-Agege of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the National Assembly election for Delta Central Senatorial district.
He polled 111,100 votes to dust the senatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Evelyn Oboro, to emerge as the first senator to be re-elected to the Senate from the district.
Oboro, who is the current representative of Uvwie, Okpe and Sapele Federal Constituency at the House of Assembly, polled 99,422 votes.
INEC Returning Officer (RO), Professor Godfrey Ariavie of the University of Benin, Edo State, announced the results in which Omo-Agege won by 11, 678 votes margin.
