Two men were on Tuesday arraigned before a Life Camp Chief Magistrates’ Court in Abuja for allegedly stealing church property valued at N11 million.
The defendants, Michael Habu and Nuhu Dogo, both residents of 69 Road, Gwarinpa, Abuja, are facing charges bordering on joint act and stealing.
The prosecutor, Mrs Charity Nwachukwu, told the court that the matter was reported by a complainant from St Augustine Church, Gwarinpa, at the Galadima Police Station on March 5.
Nwachukwu alleged that on the same date, the complainant discovered that several items were missing from the church’s media room.
The items include three laptops, one camera, one mixer, one data bonding machine, one splitter machine, and some wires, all valued at N11 million.
