The Alumni of Titcombe College, Egbe, Kogi State, ’93 set, has facilitated with Governor Usman Ododo on the 33rd anniversary of the creation of the state, saying that the dreams of the founding fathers were being daily realised in this administration.
The South West Chairman of the Association, Mr Femi Olusanya, said this in a signed statement, a copy of which was made available to newsmen on Wednesday, even as he also congratulated the entire people of the state over the anniversary and called for total support for Governor Ododo’s administration.
Besides, Olusanya equally appreciated the Chairman, Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board, Philip Orebiyi, for his giant strides since assuming office, especially on his agenda of making the state a tourism destination for all.
“Titcombe College ’93 set in the South West zone congratulates Governor Usman Ododo and the entire people of Kogi State over the celebration of her 33rd anniversary.
“I’m also extremely delighted to appreciate the Chairman, Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board, Prince Orebiyi, for his renewed agenda for Kogi tourism and overall developments of the state,” Olusanya said.
Olusanya, while recalling that the dearth of infrastructural and human development, among others, in the Igala, Ebira, and Okun areas of old Benue and Kwara states led to the agitation for the creation of Kogi State 33 years ago, pointed out that there had been massive infrastructural and developmental progress in the state since the return to democracy in 1999.
He prayed to God to grant Governor Ododo the enablement to bring in more development and employment across the state.
The South West Chairman of the ’93 set of Titcombe College, Egbe, further congratulated Governor Ododo over his victory at the Supreme Court, noting that the state had witnessed significant transformation in infrastructure and improved security since he assumed office.
Titcombe College is a secondary school in Egbe, Kogi State, founded by missionaries of the Sundan Interior Mission in 1951.
