The Governor of Sokoto State who is also the standard bearer for the People’s Democratic Party PDP in the forthcoming general elections, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has cancelled his campaign billed to hold in Gonroyo Local Government today.
Tambuwal announced the cancellation in Gonroyo town today in order to honour the soul of the people killed in Rabbah Local Government by suspected bandits earlier today.
It will be recalled that one of the party stalwarts had earlier disclosed to the Journalist at the venue of the rally about the unfortunate attacks where more than twenty people were killed.
Meanwhile, Governor Tambuwal has reassured the citizens of the state that his administration will do anything humanly possible to protect the residents as well as the citizens of the state.
Tambuwal has however alongside leaders of the party in the state with State executive council members visited the scenes of the incident in Rabbah to commiserate with the people of the community.
