THE suspended Director-General of the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC), Dr Mounir Gwarzo and a commissioner in the Commission, Zakwanu Garuba were on Tuesday arraigned before a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), sitting at Maitama, Abuja.
They were arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on behalf of the Federal Government on a five-count charge bordering on criminal breach of trust and conferring a corrupt advantage.
The two pleaded not guilty to the charges read to them in the court.
The presiding judge, Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf, however, granted them bail in the sum of N25million each and one surety each in like sum.
The surety, according to the judge, must be a responsible citizen, resident in FCT with landed property.
