Though the exit gate to the Secretariat was shut and the entrance gate half open, the few staff, mostly senior, that reported for duty carried on usual government activities behind closed doors.

Meanwhile, public schools turned back students who came in hope of usual schooling activities while several banks, visited around Ibadan, also did same to their customers who wanted to check into the banking hall.
Speaking with Nigerian Tribune, Chairman, NLC, Oyo State, Mr Waheed Olojede avowed that the union will ensure total compliance to the strike in the state until otherwise directed by the national executive of the union.
The level of compliance to the industrial action is expected to get higher by the day.
