Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers has been crowned Best Pension Fund Administrator (PFA) Nigeria 2025 at the prestigious Global Banking & Finance Awards, reinforcing its leadership in Nigeria’s pension industry and its commitment to safeguarding the financial futures of millions of contributors.

Announced by the UK-based awards body, the recognition spotlights institutions driving innovation, operational excellence and sustainable growth in global financial services. Since its debut in 2011, the awards have become a benchmark for outstanding industry performance — a standard Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers continues to meet and exceed.

Reacting to the win, Olumide Oyetan, Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers, described the award as a validation of the organisation’s purpose-driven model and its relentless pursuit of client-focused excellence.

“We are honoured by this global recognition, which reaffirms our promise to Nigerians to help them retire well. Our focus remains on ensuring that every contributor experiences consistent value, transparency and peace of mind. We achieve this through innovation, sound governance and a deep sense of responsibility to our clients,” Oyetan said.

He noted that the firm’s sustained investment in technology and client empowerment continues to strengthen its position as a trusted partner for retirement planning in a rapidly changing financial environment.

Also speaking on the award, Chukwuma Nwokocha, Chief Executive of Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC, commended the Pension Managers subsidiary for its consistent performance and alignment with the group’s broader vision of wealth creation and financial inclusion.

“This recognition reflects the group’s shared belief in the power of financial empowerment. The pension business remains a cornerstone of our wealth-building strategy, providing Nigerians with trusted, technology-enabled solutions that secure their future,” Nwokocha said.

With more than two million Retirement Savings Accounts (RSAs) under management, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers has built a strong reputation for blending robust investment strategies with seamless, technology-driven service delivery. The company continues to play a central role in shaping retirement preparedness across the country.

In 2025 it hosted its annual pre-retirement seminar series across Kaduna, Jos, Benin, Ibadan and Enugu, engaging over 4,500 participants. The sessions offered practical guidance on investment planning, pension literacy and lifestyle considerations for approaching retirement — further cementing the firm’s role as an industry thought leader.

With its latest global honour, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers remains committed to deepening trust, expanding innovation and helping Nigerians to retire with confidence.
