Seven persons lost their lives on Saturday in different auto crashes on major highways across Ogun State.
Disclosing this, Federal Road Safety Public Education Officer, Ogun State sector command, Commander Florence Okpe, said that the accidents occurred at different times leaving many injured.
Okpe said the auto crashes involved 18 vehicles which include a truck and a trailer while enjoining motorists to drive carefully, especially at this festive period.
The FRSC officer explained that the first crash happened at about 5.07pm at Asese area on the corridor of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, involving a truck with no registered number and a Mazda car with number Lagos XW 234 SMK.

Four people were reported to be involved in the accident, leaving a male and female adults dead while the second crash which happened around Ajegunle on the Lagos-Abeokuta was multiple accidents. No casualty was recorded.
It was also gathered that another accident that happened on Benin-Ore expressway around J4 involving two vehicles with registration number KJA 587 (Toyota Sienna) and a Dangote truck with no registration number claimed two lives while their bodies were deposited at Ijebu-Ode mortuary.
The fourth crash according to Okpe occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway around Conoil involving two vehicles with registration number LSD 458 EC (Toyota Sienna) and UKP 402 ZU (Toyota Sienna) involving 14 persons injured and no lives lost.
While the auto crash occurred at about 12.31pm on the Lagos-Abeokuta route around Railway crossing Ifo and claimed the life of a female adult.
TribuneOnline gathered that the sixth and seventh crashes happened on Lagos-Abeokuta route and Otta-Idi-Iroko road respectively leading two dead in the latter accident.
