A delegation of lawmakers, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, paid a condolence visit to former Senate President Bukola Saraki on Tuesday, following the passing of his mother, Florence Saraki, on June 18, 2024.
The delegation included Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (Kogi Central), Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele, and other lawmakers. They visited Saraki to offer their sympathies and support during this difficult time.
The lawmakers mourned the loss of the late matriarch and offered prayers for the repose of her soul. They also prayed for the Saraki family to be granted the fortitude to bear the loss.
The visit was a show of solidarity and respect for Saraki and his family, as they navigate this difficult period.
