LAGOS State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Wednesday condemned the reprisal attacks carried out by some people in the state on the businesses and investments belonging to South Africans, including MTN, Shoprite, among others, describing it as uncalled for as the issue was being handled at the top level of governance in the country.
The governor, who spoke at the launch of the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) Women Fund and Presentation of Cheques, which took place at the Blue Roof, LTV 8, Alausa, Ikeja, disclosed that he had already instructed the Commissioner of Police to take charge and bring the matter under control.

Governor Sanwo-Olu, while decrying the killing of Nigerians and destruction of their businesses by South Africans in their country, argued that two wrongs can never make a right.
Meanwhile, the Shoprite Mall in Alausa, Ikeja, nearly opposite the venue of the event, was nearly deserted on Wednesday, with about four police vans stationed within the premises to prevent any form of attack from being carried out.
