Samuel Ijaola Oladayo, the CEO of Grace Social Media Agency, is reshaping the landscape for content creators in Africa. Since starting his company in 2018 and officially registering it in 2020, Ijaola has built a business that empowers creators to monetize their content and navigate the complexities of social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram.
In a recent interview, Ijaola shared his journey from discovering Facebook monetization tools to forming partnerships with global tech giants like Meta. His work has not only opened doors for Nigerian creators but also expanded opportunities across the continent while bringing prosperity to entertainers.
Speaking about monetization for content creators in the early days as far back as 2017, Ijaola observes, “Social media was a growing tool, but most people were using it to connect with friends or promote content casually.”
But when Grace Social Media Agency then GSMNS steps on the scene as a trusted partner of Meta, it opened a window of opportunity for content creators to monetize and optimize their presence on platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
“Our partnership with Meta began in late 2022, but our relationship was built over years of attending events and supporting creators,” Ijaola said. The company has also made strides on YouTube, functioning as a Multi-Channel Network (MCN) with access to tools like Content ID.
