There was heavy fight at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) national secretariat, Abuja, on Thursday as former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, submitted his expression of interest and nomination forms.

The fight led to a stampede as hundreds of supporters who had been locked out of the premises broke through the gate manned by a combined team of the police, Civil Defence and PDP’s internal security personnel to quel what was developing into a riot.
Many people, especially women, were trampled upon in the process with several escaping with various degrees of injury.
