Speaking about the event, Reekado Banks said, “I am excited about meeting my fans in Ibadan. I have taken my concerts to other places and now we have come to Ibadan. My team and I are working to bring an exceptional event to Ibadan, the pacesetter state and we urge everyone to turn up. Tonight will be awesome”.
The concert, done in partnership with the IBCF is the second of its type in series. The festival was started last year by five friends in Ibadan and had 2face and over 20 top acts perform on its stage at the Agodi Gardens. This year, the concert train moved to the Palms Mall, Ibadan.
“We are trying to showcase Ibadan to the world. We encourage well-meaning Nigerians, corporate bodies etc to support us. The event is still privately funded but we will not relent. Ibadan is on a steady rise to prominence and with events like this, our entertainment value and tourism will rise. We are grateful to the Mavins and management of the Palms Mall for their unwavering support for this event and the growth of the city”, Alfred Emeka, one of the principal partners of IBCF told Friday Treat.
The festival continues on the 30th with a Fuji festival and ends on the 31st with fireworks amidst a gospel concert.
