The Oyo State government’s attention has been drawn to a photo news on page 3 of your newspaper (publication No: 16,772, dated Tuesday, 30 May, 2017) on the above subject.
It captioned the alleged road cut at the re-constructed Oluyole Estate – Apata road around Sharp Corner area to Teslim Folarin Junction, few months after completion.
The state government is appreciative of the photo journalist, Mr. Tommy Adegbite’s concern and efforts in calling the attention of the state governor to the issue and keeping vigilance on vandals of government property and structures.
However, it is important to state that it is the sub-contractor for the streetlight apparatus for the road that is currently laying the ducts for streetlights along the walkway, and not on the main road.
The sealing off of the walkway is left until after the completion of all works in respect of streetlight ducts.
The administration of Senator Abiola Ajimobi, is thus using this medium to implore all citizens to report any issue that might adversely affect public utilities/infrastructures to the appropriate agency of government for necessary action.
