THE Anambra State Police Command has arrested a wanted murder suspect, Ikechukwu Udensi (aka IKANDA), m’ age 27 years of Azia village in Ihiala local government area of the state, who has been on the police wanted list for a long period now, just as it arrested other criminal suspects for robbery and various crimes across the state.
Udensi was arrested by the combined effort of policemen from operative attached to the command operation Udoka and a crack team of Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS), lead by CSP Patrick Agbazue, who raided a criminal hideout at Menax near down flyover in Onitsha on Sunday afternoon.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Mustapha Dandaura, who paraded the suspects at the command headquarters Awka, said the suspect was declared wanted with a 1million naira pledge to any person who knows his whereabouts for killing one Ndubuisi Nwokolo M’ age 38 years of No. 21 Otamoye street, Odoakpu, Onitsha in a cold blood and other serial crime alongside with his gang members who currently on the run.
We hope that through him, other members of his gang would be arrested to face the wrath of the law.

Hoodlums Suspected to be IPOB members were also paraded for attacking and burning down Ajalli police station, three police patrol vehicles and other exhibits on the 15 February 2019.
According to the commissioner, The suspects, equally carted away three AK 47 rifles from the Division armoury and injured the DCO who was on visiting around.
Following the incident, the Command special Anti-robbery Squad embarked on an aggressive manhunt of perpetrators and arrested five of the suspects as follows. Abuchi Nwogwu’s’ aged 21 years, Okwudili Nwanne ‘m” aged 42 years, Maduabuchi Obia ‘m’ aged 22 years, Chukwuedozie Orah ‘m’ aged 30 years and Ekechi Chukwuemeka ‘m’ aged 30 years all of Ndikelionwu in Orumba North LGA of Anambra State.
Upon interrogation, the suspects took operatives to their criminal hideout and one of the AK 47 rifle with breech number KO 358792 carted away was recovered.
Also exhibits recovered from the suspects include one locally made pistol and the operational vehicle L300 bus with REG. No. DRK 85 XA.
Other criminal suspects arrested in another part of the state were also paraded.
Speaking with journalists, the murder suspect, Mr Udensi who claimed to be a tax collector to Anambra State government in Onitsha transport unit and who did not admit to the killing said, “I know why they are blaming me is that I am their leader I know I would be held responsible for anything my members do, but I am not responsible for the killing.
The CP who has just resumed duty after the general elections assignment outside the state assure all “Ndi Anambra ” and residents alike that all hands are on deck to ensure the safety and Security of all citizens in the State.
He equally enjoined the public to continue to assist the Police with useful information and report any suspicious persons or movement to the Police.
He said all case under investigation after which suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.
