An angry mob on Monday afternoon apprehended two suspected kidnappers in Erusu Akoko in the Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, while trying to forcefully take a two-year-old baby from her mother.
Luck ran against the two suspects when the mother of the baby raised the alarm which attracted residents of the Aga quarters in the town.
According to an eyewitness, the mother was struggling with the suspects and calling for help while the two suspected kidnappers were determined to get the baby forcefully from the mother.
He said a member of the public who raced to the scene of the incident were able to apprehend the two suspects who tried to run away from being nabbed.

The angry mob stripped the two suspected kidnappers and threatened to set them ablaze but for the quick intervention of the traditional ruler of the town, Oba Sunday Mogaji, who advised the mob not to take the law into their hands.
Police from the Oke Age division were invited while the two suspects were handed over to them who after interrogation discovered that the two suspects are from Oyin Akoko but lived in Oke Agbe.
The Area Commander of the Akoko Police Division, ACP Razak Rauf, who confirmed the arrest of the suspects said the investigation has commenced into the incident.
Rauf however, said the two suspects had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Akure
