Following new twists and turns in the ongoing leadership crisis of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), its governors are to meet in an emergency session to attempt to resolve the contentious issues.
The chairman of the PDP Governors Forum and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, summoned the meeting that is expected to take place, on Thursday.
The Director-General of the forum, Cyril Maduabum, confirmed this in a statement, on Wednesday.
He said Tambuwal summoned the meeting in consultation with his colleagues, confirming that “it will discuss recent developments in the PDP.”
The statement said governors have enjoined all PDP members and stakeholders to exercise patience as efforts are being made to ensure the continued stability of the party in the days ahead.
