Oyo Apc Loses admin director, Owoade

THE Director of Finance and Administration, All Progressive Congress (APC), Oyo state chapter, Chief Ajibola Lateef Owoade (JP), on Tuesday died at his University College Hospital, Ibadan residence, during a brief illness at the age of 73 years

This was made known through a statement issued and signed by the party’s Director of Publicity and Strategy, Olawale Sadare, a copy made available to journalists in Ibadan.

The party, according Sadare described the death of Chief Ajibola Owoade, who was the head of personnel at the state secretariat of the governing party as “most shocking, painful and unfortunate in view of the fact that he was a committed party faithful, amiable community leader and seasoned administrator whose invaluable to the society was still needed.”

Chief Owoade, popularly known as A-L-O, was one of the sons of the late First Republic Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Saka Owoade, and was until his death a leader of the APC in Ibadan South East Local Government, Oyo state.

The Party said “Chief Owoade would sorely be missed by the progressive family in Oyo state and beyond. He was a man of experience, passion and dedication whose love for fatherland and humanity was excellent. His demise at this particular time has left a vacuum within our great party which would be difficult to fill but we take solace in the fact that he lived a fruitful and impactful life.

“On behalf of the State Executive Committee, members and supporters of our great Party, we wish him eternal rest and pray God almighty to uphold the family he left behind and grant all the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
