Over 300 residents of Isara in Remo North Local Government Area of Ogun State have benefited from a free medical outreach organized by the Daramola Dynasty Foundation in collaboration with the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, and Eye Foundation Hospital.
During the outreach, which was part of activities commemorating the 54th edition of Afotamodi Day in the town, comprehensive health screenings were provided to detect common health issues such as hypertension, diabetes, malaria, and eye issues.
The facilitator of the event, Engr Ola Daramola, said medical services, consultations, basic vital checks, including eye screening, health talks, and distribution of drugs carried out during the outreach sought to bridge the gap in healthcare access in the town and improve their well-being.
“This medical outreach is designed to bridge the gap in health accessibility for the people of Isara and improve their well-being,” he said.
While emphasizing the importance of healthy living, Daramola noted that early detection of health issues will allow for timely intervention and management.
He also disclosed that the foundation is committed to providing individuals requiring urgent medical attention with follow-up procedures and ensuring the continuity of care beyond the outreach event.
