Osun: Gov Adeleke assures residents on subsidy palliatives

On Friday, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, assured the residents of the state that his administration plans to launch palliatives to mitigate the impact of subsidy removal.

He made this statement during a stakeholders’ meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) held at the party’s secretariat in Osogbo.

The governor emphasized his commitment to running a government that brings smiles to the faces of the people.

Governor Adeleke stated, “We (Osun Government) will soon introduce public transport buses. We are working on adjusted work hours and days. We want to make life easy and enjoyable for our people.”

He further assured party leaders and members that he would run an inclusive government that leaves no one behind, affirming, “We will all be accommodated. We will be fair to all.”

The governor expressed his appreciation for the support received in the past and present, emphasizing that the government belongs to the people. He assured everyone that they would reap the rewards of their labour.

During the meeting, former governor of the state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, and other attendees commended Governor Adeleke for his commendable performance and delivery of good governance in the last seven months.

Prince Oyinlola acknowledged the initial scepticism surrounding Governor Adeleke’s leadership and noted that within seven months, the governor has proven the sceptics wrong.

Prince Oyinlola praised the governor’s exceptional performance, which he believed contributed to the party’s electoral success in state and national elections. He stated, “Governor Adeleke has surprised even his worst critics. His performance impresses all and has strengthened the party and the state. We commend the governor and his team,” as the former governor spoke on behalf of other stakeholders.
